Ernie Brandts is preparing for a special match for him. The coach of FC Dordrecht gets Sunday with his team visit NAC Breda, in which he 2007/08 still finished third in the Premier League and reached the semi-finals of the cup. Brandts has great memories of his most successful period as a head coach.

NAC got 63 points and finished behind champions PSV and runners-up Ajax. “The performance was unprecedented,” looks Brandts in Algemeen Dagblad back. “There was then a lot of quality. Defensively stood with Patrick Swan Quarter and Rob Penders in the center as a home. When we came for 1-0, then you could turn off the television, because the score would not change anything anymore. Left our collapse and kept the pot close “

.

Despite the great season Brandts had to make way for Robert Maaskant, who was appointed to the new football year already in the winter. Brandts went abroad and worked at Rah Ahan FC (Iran), APR FC (Rwanda) and Young Africans (Tanzania) before Dordrecht took him back to the Premier League.
