Prijsdoorbraak: Ultra HD-televisie for thousand euro

There is a price breakthrough in the new Ultra HD segment. The fans could soon for around a thousand euros a 4K Ultra HD TV in the living places.

Of these 50 inch Ultra HDTV a good quality image on the screen turns, remains the big question. The television is in fact derived from the unknown brand Seiki. The LCD display has used dubious specifications. It does have the 4K image resolution 3840 x 2160 pixels and uses LED Edge Lit backlighting but has a refresh rate of only 120 Hz, a 6.5 ms response time and a contrast of 5000:1.

expensive

The better quality Ultra HD TVs are much more expensive. Sony recently announced cheaper LCD models but they cost at least around four thousand euros. The more expensive models of this Japanese manufacturer prices have between ten and twenty thousand euros. Other manufacturers use similar prices for their Ultra HD televisions. The most expensive Ultra HD TV currently is announced by Samsung comes. The price is around forty thousand euros.

Oh, I’m satisfied with my HD TV, it still takes years before in 4k is broadcast. Now look at HD, there are still more than variants of SD in HD, I mean the TV channels. Most HD TV stations, which broadcast it to 720p from, and almost not at 1080p. If the HD channels actually started broadcasting in 1080, you can only see if the new 4k standard also terrain will win.

afternoon sent the NIS in the year 2013, seven years after the first HD broadcast again 2 large live events from on-Netherlands1 “HD” in SD (Rotterdam marathon and the Amstel Gold Race). HD is actually a bridge too far and too expensive. Ultra HD is another 4 times more expensive ….

@ HB Zijpe: There you have me only one answer: Nothing! From 2009 to some native HD started, even HD packages which you have to pay now, and not really value for money gets delivered, providers have their pecking grain along by extra money to collect for native HD (1920×1080) but just every day is tricked .. HD channels appoint, and then the most in SD quality products, tja.Zo ‘n 10 jr.moet our HD TV, from 2010 still stand here, in 2020 ..

Los whether the thing is good or bad, as long os det devices has been proven and there is no content for you can be your best starting hands remain. And yes an unknown brand … The Philips boxes are also assembled by an unknown brand out there on their neighborhood a Philips sticker stick. This does not mean that these TVs are good. Quite the contrary. Gr. Rob

@ peter-Heemstede, Thanks for listing. Have read reviews, and indeed: What a mess. A manufacturer who apparently TV’s will with all bad or malfunctioning panel. There are over 360 reviews on there, so even if you read, you can only come to an occlusion: Do not Seik (i) take .. :-)

Peter – Heemstede – 04/14/2013 14:15

Well, the source may also be required. I suspect this: http://www.engadget.com/2013/04/12/seiki-50-inch-4k-1300/. Also read the reviews. Bad brand. Not suitable for Europe PAL indeed. On their site they have a pricing device with 1080p while a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 is specified. Then it must be downgraded to 720p. http://www.seikidigital.com/products/tv/SE32HY01-detail.php

Henny (Pro-Digital) – Eindhoven – 14/04/2013 1:43 p.m. hours

Have just looked at their site, it is a US-based factory in Diamond Bar, California, outlets unknown in Europe, and indeed all those TVs have a refresh rate of only 120 Hz, also I see NTSC only stand , no Pal! On the website they see only but only models Full HD, with the highest resolution 1920×1080, there’s IIG nothing to find a model that 4K Ultra HD would be (3840×2160 pixels) I’ll wait a few years, that’s sure. i.i.g not this ..
