Leeuwarden – Omrop Friesland sends tonight at 18:20, 20:20 and 22:20 hours, the film ‘The Fûke’ as a tribute to Monday deceased actor Rense Westra.
Westra plays in this war film from 2000 directed by Steven de Jong fisherman Jelle Hûn that in retaliation for an act of resistance to his son is arrested by the Germans.
The scenario is based on the novella by Rink van der Velde from 1966.
Rense Westra’s Saturday afternoon Wartenberg buried in his hometown. Prior to the funeral there was a memorial service in the Reformed Church.
