There are plenty of reasons to think why you would want to put a computer in television. Mac in the living room gives you the freedom to everything on the Internet, all you have downloaded and everything you could stream, nice view from your armchair. Mac connect via HDMI

Then you only need a standard HDMI cable which usually costs a few euros in the electronics store. Do you have a Mac with Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt connector? Then you have besides the HDMI cable also an adapter with HDMI adapter that converts the signal to the television

Please note. There are currently cables for sale that Thunderbolt signal convert to HDMI. The prices of which are approximately equal to that of normal HDMI cables. These are not official cables, so it is not guaranteed that these cables now and will continue to work in the future.

Whether your Mac then is ready for use varies by situation. Most Macs from 2008 and 2009 with Mini DisplayPort connector can only video by locks. In that case you need so still separate cables for audio. Apple has a special website that explains to which Macs this is. Is your Mac newer than these machines? Then you have a separate cable to send the sound to the TV.

In theory, You can also use a Thunderbolt cable to connect a TV to the Mac. There are however no televisions available with built-in Thunderbolt port, so that as yet has no advantage
