“Sony is considering selling television department – Home Cinema Magazine

It is bad with the Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Sony. So bad that it is thinking of selling the television department. This does not mean that it will really happen.

It’s no secret that it is bad with Sony, the consumer brand products include televisions, game consoles and smartphones. Then the PlayStation 4 may still sell so well, that does not mean the Sony helps out the fire: the company expects in March to a loss of 230 billion yen (1.7 billion euros) should depreciate. Another department that Sony would like shedding is that of smartphones. Sony has, despite the modern and high-end handsets, trouble with the competition to catch up. So it is high time to draw the conclusions for both departments.
