The hospital has in recent months all 715 old machines replaced twice as large flat screens which subtitles easier to read.
TV The channel is
equal to that of Ziggo where channel 26 is reserved for private communications from the hospital and channel 27 for a new “orientation channel. This displays basic information such as date and time to acute confusion at – especially elderly – patients counter. Internet in Maastricht UMC was already free.
Phone
landline disappears beside the bed. Patients who wish to call anyway and not in possession of a mobile phone can now rent a phone and buy a prepaid SIM card that they after discharge from the hospital back to take home.
