Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht – Friday night around 20:00 police checked a French car stopped on the emergency lane along the A16. This check eventually resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old man and the discovery of a stolen television.
Jackets
The driver was still in the car and told He was stopped on the emergency lane because he was not feeling well. The officers found the situation rather strange and checked the vehicle. In the back seat they found two jackets and two Romanian identity. One of the people appeared to be signaled for armed robbery and burglary in Austria. The suspicion arose that there are so two men had been in the car.
Arrest
The police started a search including a police dog and soon found one of the men in the bushes along the A16. He had injuries to his hand. The husband of 22 years, with no fixed abode, appeared to be the identified suspect and was arrested immediately. The other man was not found. However, the officers found a 55-inch TV.
Report
At first there was nothing known about a stolen television. Later in the evening there was a report of a burglary at the Langeweg in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, where a television was stolen. In this burglary was found that the dog of the occupant one of the burglars in his hand bitten. That explained the injury to his hand. The driver who was initially sent away with a fine, is now signaled on suspicion of involvement in the burglary. The 22 year old suspect was arraigned today
