American reporters on live television robberies – Eindhoven Dagblad

US news organizations are forced to protect crews after several camera crews and reporters were attacked in San Francisco. While KTVU reporter Cara Liu reported on a murder was seen live on television how reporters and camera people fall prey to a thief.

KTVU news anchor Brian Flores announced Thursday colleague Cara Liu that would live coverage of a murder in San Francisco on Pier 14. Also crews from other broadcasters at that time were on the spot. After Liu in image appeared she ran quickly out of the picture because KNTV reporter Kris Sanchez and cameraman Alan Waples under threat of a gun were raided. The robber made camera stuff booty. KTVU cameraman Keith Crook came under gunpoint his camera and tripod lost to the robber.

KTVU became more frequent victims of thieves and robbers. When a reporter in February from a donut shop did report the lottery was the crew robbed. Reporter Cara Lui was in August last year beaten by a woman on her head when she did report a murder.

SFGate writes that the raid is part of a series of robberies. Especially stories in Oakland will therefore security guards on the road with reporters and camera teams.
