AMSTERDAM – The documentary The breakthrough of a shock jock, on the career of Giel Beelen, televised during the action Serious Request. Has creator Marc Dog That reported. The film can be seen on December 19 on the digital channel NPO Doc.
Beelen’s been ten years one of the prominent faces of the 3FM Serious Request action. Dog who years Beelen worked at station 3FM, Giel made! The breakthrough of a shock jock in house. He spoke for the documentary with former colleagues and bosses Beelen about his talent and attendance. Among other DJs Gerard Ekdom and Rob Stenders and former station coordinators Paul van der Lugt and Florent Luyckx have their say.
The film tells include what was going on behind the scenes when Giel himself live on the air had oral sex with a prostitute, was fired after comments about Mein Kampf and called for sending powder letters to the KRG. Also, 20 animators worked on the project that each mapped out in their own way a part of the career of Giel.
