TELEVISION AND (YOUNG) CHILDREN
Television is a medium that has a strong attraction for children. From a very early age, they like to look at it. Many parents / guardians, teachers and educational staff are concerned about the images where children solicited or unsolicited come into contact. Close the programs to be at their age? Must watch television always justified or they may also look for relaxation? What role does television in your family or group: emotional outlet, alternative classroom or copy machine
COURSE
In the workshop “Critical watch TV” you will learn how you and your kids can talk to each other what they see on television. Central to the course is a number of filmed interviews with youth television experts from Nickelodeon, the NTR, Youngworks and Dutch Youth Institute to speak about children’s television. On the basis of these interviews will be discussed in the group. You will learn more about the techniques behind the television and the merchandise of television programs that you encounter in the supermarket and toy store. After the workshop you will receive practical assistance to the conversation at school, in the group, or at home at the kitchen table to continue.
