The Valentine Tail D66 Groningen, this year at the Hanze University Grotius minor. D66 faction leader Jetze Luhoff presented the cake this afternoon in ‘t Feithhuis.
Each year, the municipal councilors around Valentine’s Day gives a cake to a person or organization that deserves to be put in the limelight. This year the cake to the Grotius Minor, an initiative of employees and Hanze University students to get in touch highly educated refugees with Dutch higher education. They get the opportunity to accelerate their integration. Teachers of Hanzehogeschool give refugees lesson voluntary and students of the Hanze refugee support among other as buddies.
Jetze Luhoff Party leader praised the voluntary efforts of all involved. “These initiatives will help refugees really ahead. It is admirable how teachers and students of the Hanze committed to this charity. Thus they deserve our respect undoubtedly Valentine Tail of this year. “
