Do you enjoy a series of head and tail? Clear storylines and predictable plots? Let Netflix original Sense8 in particular are left. But was you on the edge of your seat in Lost , then chances are that you’ve finally found a new favorite series.
The Matrix trilogy The Wachowskis directing duo managed to set a new standard for science-fiction films. Unfortunately, they were able to no longer meet that standard and flopped movies like Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending . Sense8 is the debut of The Wachowskis on television.
Eight different people
Sense8 tells the story of eight different people across the earth and completely different from each other. There is one thing they have in common: they all eight sensibles. The eight is spiritually connected. This allows them to communicate with each other through their minds, but also shared their properties, such as understanding of each other’s languages.
Beautiful locations
The series is shot on location in cities such as Berlin, Chicago, San Franscisco, Mumbai and Nairobi and looks beautiful. Although the main characters initially sphere seem to be of the standard roles (the good cop, drug use among DJs, etc.), there appears behind each character or to shelter one or more unexpected ways.
Progressive
Sense8 is one of the pioneering series coming this time from America. Thus one of the main roles for transgender and one of the other main characters a Latin American homosexual.
Bite
Certainly the first episodes, the pace is not high . The makers take the time to sketch the backgrounds of the eight sensibles and thereby evoke more questions than answers. Yet it is true that persevere, because the series is gradually even more exciting.
Sense8 is not as groundbreaking as The Matrix at the time, but one of the best series that have appeared this year. The first 12 episodes are to feast on!
