The 62-year-old Winfrey plays a role of a manipulative blues club owner in the 13-part series Greenleaf.
“It’s a dream that comes out,” said Winfrey.
The series is produced by Craig Wright ( Six Feet Under ) and is about a wealthy African-American family. The lead role is played by Merle Dandridge. She plays Grace Greenleaf, the daughter of the family who returns home after twenty years.
The series will be broadcast from 21 June on American television.
