Germany: Largest cable company will stop analogue television

Analogue television will disappear next year in several German states of the cable. This Unitymedia, announced the largest cable company in Germany. The shutdown affects about 12.8 million households.

As of June 30, 2017 Unitymedia provides no analogue television through via its cable network in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Baden-Wurttemberg. As in the Netherlands are also looking less and less Germans analog TV. According Unitymedia makes only 15% of customers using analog television.
