The device, with a screen diameter of 85 inches (2.16 meters), from October sales in Japan. Since the TV gets a price tag of 16 million yen, or nearly 118,000 euros.
The 8K TV has four times as many pixels as a model with an ultra high-resolution (4K). The screen of Sharp exhibits at 7680 4320 pixels.
Several companies have already shown once 8K TVs at technology fairs, but never such a device was placed on the market.
There is currently too little video material available in 8K-quality, and to watch a video 8K four HDMI cables must simultaneously transmit the video. Sharp aims to sell the device to the corporate market
