Memorial Camp Amersfoort on television – Elsevier

                 AMERSFOORT (Reuters) – The Camp Amersfoort Memorial on Sunday, April 19th will be broadcast live by NOS. It is 70 years since this transit and prison camp by the Germans was transferred to the Netherlands. Among others, former prisoners, relatives, representatives of various ministries, provinces and municipalities to attend the commemoration.
             

In the camp have between 1941 and 1945 about 37,000 people for short or long periods stuck. Every year stood at the official handover of the camp by the Germans to Loes HMA Overeem-Ziegenhardt, Head of the Department for special assistance from the Dutch Red Cross.

This year, keep Vice President JPH Donner of the Council of State and former prisoner of Camp Amersfoort NJH Hasselt a short lecture. Everyone present will receive a rose awarded to lay at the sculpture “The Stone Man.” The show lasts from 14:00 to 16:00
