Analog television will remain still at Zeeland cable – Total TV

April 9, 2015

Viewers on cable in Zeeland just keep watching analog transmitter that offer much longer than planned. Delta is investing heavily in the development of more bandwidth for digital TV.

Delta Zealand holds the analog television longer than planned in its current size on the cable. In the analogue range includes all popular channels, BBC1, TV5 Monde, Mezzo and – with an eye on the many holiday with cable connections – the three German channels ARD, ZDF and WDR. Of the 150,000 cable subscribers in New Zealand using only one piece or 25,000 still only analog television. Nevertheless, millions of Delta is investing in the cable network in order to create more bandwidth. Consequently the analog television as yet not disappearing.

Channel Offer Zealand differs from country

Zealand is the only province where the newly merged company Ziggo are no coaxial cables in the ground. The cable network is Delta and serve them well. It also speaks partly divergent channel offerings. Thus channels as Südwestrundfunk (SWR), France 2 and Nautical Channel (anymore) at Ziggo, but receive at Delta or via cable. Delta is also the largest provider of Internet, telephony and television in New Zealand.

Internet Zeelandnet faster

ZeelandNet early April has also increased the speeds of several All-in-1 subscriptions.
The most expensive subscription of 160Mbit / s to 200Mbit / s download gone. The upload speeds not exceed 10Mbit / s. Ziggo, which, however, in competition with Delta (because it simply is not available in New Zealand), is the upload speed by up to 20Mbit / s. The prices of the subscriptions
. do not change at Zeelandnet
