Belgium , 1978. In an attic in a hospital waiting pregnant teenage girls in secret from their birth. Katya, Roxy and a bunch of other spirited girls are too young for love and almost mother. Some want this slip as soon as possible behind them, but Katya, who is self-taught, clearly thinks otherwise. She longs intensely to her baby. In the attic, the girls share joys and sorrows, they forge friendships and seek distraction in an imaginary universe of carefree dreams and mysterious games during the long, long wait. Until safe bubble bursts. Suddenly Katja is painfully aware of the plans being forged behind her back. However, she does not intend this to her, nor to happen with her baby.
