It’s almost over for the triple play package Snow KPN daughter Bose in 2013 introduced in Belgium as an alternative to digital television, internet and fixed telephony. In June 2015, the package will be stopped and put all of the approximately 35,000 customers will be free of charge transferred to Scarlet.

Snow was originally introduced by KPN as a more flexible alternative: customers only paying for what they really wanted and were able to change it yourself. That model is now no longer financially viable and according to Bose is the blame on the government. The cost of the product are according to Bose too high for a challenger in the fixed market.

“The government has not created a favorable environment. Who of mobile operator, bank or electricity supplier will change, just need placing a signature switching from one to another fixed operator still brings a lot of hassle with it, making the customers here therefore reluctant stand “

According Base government measures have had a negative impact on the investment climate in the mobile sector. The government would a lot of effort to make it easier to compare mobile telecom prices and to change mobile operator. “This while the increased competitive pressures, prices for mobile communications in recent years have already fallen by more than 40 percent. In the fixed sector, they continued to rise.”
