Early last year to LG on the webOS operating system from Hewlett-Packard and during CES 2014 next week starts will be the first product with this software to be launched.
Originally developed by Palm webOS to be on phones, but LG has used the system for smart TVs. As seen on the leaked image, the interface looks sleek and modern. Also, apparently there are already apps available for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Skype and more.
Televisions are increasingly becoming a semi computers, but it is still a problem to find good software. Each manufacturer chooses his own path, and that makes for fragmentation. Google has so far had little success with Google TV, but perhaps what LG can achieve. LG would also consider a smartphone with webOS over time. (Via: @ evleaks)
