TV viewers have sat massively tuned to the Olympics and the summaries of the first football games in the new season.

the program Rio Live (NPO1) tops the daily top 25 with more than 1.9 million viewers. The summaries of the league in Studio Sport (NPO1) follows in second place with nearly 1.7 million viewers. Also on the places three and four are sports programs:. Studio Rio Evening (NPO1) with more than 1.4 million viewers and Studio Olympic Park with over 1.2 million visitors
The opening ceremony of the Games, which in the first hour of the night from Friday to Saturday for 623,000 Dutch stayed awake, eventually drew an audience average of 365,000. That was still good for twelfth place in the daily top 25.
