This weekend takes place the Lowlands Festival in Biddinghuizen. The festival is also to follow expanded this year through radio, television and the Internet.

The edition of 2016 is already the 24th edition to be held in the polder of Biddinghuizen. The festival begins today, Friday, August 19th and will last until Sunday. Besides music, there is also paid to include theater and film. Performances are this year include Sigur Ros, Eagles of Death Metal, The State, Die Antwoord, Disclosure, Dua Lipa, Foals, Muse, The Kills, Fresku, Paul Kalkbrenner, Sum41
and Wolfmother.

NPO 3FM transmits on Friday 19 (18:00 to 00:00 pm), Saturday 20 (12:00 to 00:00 pm) and Sunday, August 21st (12:00 to 00:00 pm) live from Lowlands in Biddinghuizen. 3FM DJs to report on the atmosphere at the festival site, let you hear the best live music from various venues and artists to come along in the 3FM studio for intimate sessions. NPO 3 guides Eric Corton, Eva Cleven, Willie Wartaal and Tim den Besten those at home on Saturday, 20 (22.15 pm) and Sunday, August 21 (22:45 pm) along all musical highlights, new discoveries and the festival life.
