Owner Radio & Television Garuda deceased – Waterfront

PARAMARIBO, Mar 17 – Tommy Raji, owner of the first Surinamese Javanese media company ‘Radio & amp; Television Garuda ‘, is no longer there. The entrepreneur died on Wednesday, March 16th at the age of 62. That report various media in Suriname.


 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

His company began broadcasting on February 20, 1996 with a radio station on frequency 105.7. This has a symbolic meaning, namely that there was established a radio station first Javanese in Suriname after 105 years and 7 months after the Javanese Immigration. Five years later it was extended to a TV, the first television channel Javanese from Suriname.

Raji was previously employed by the Country’s Telegraph and Telephone Service (formerly LTT now Telesur). He was with his wife (PHOTO) also owns bicycle shop ‘Raji Enterprise SA “which was established in 1993.
