In the prison of Dendermonde yesterday briefly broke out a small revolt after 17 hours among the detainees. Writing Het Laatste Nieuws today.
After the walk outside about 54 detainees would not return to their cells. Through the media they had heard the news of the uprising in the prison of Merksplas. The prisoners then made a list of some requirements for their management.
One of the demands was more television on their handsets. The police were called in to negotiate. Ninety minutes later, tempers had subsided and the prisoners again returned to their cells. Destruction were not made.
