Of all households in the Netherlands, 87% digital TV – Radio.NL

Researching Rating Foundation / MSS shows that now 87% of households in the Netherlands have access to digital television. The number of households with connected TV grows to 37%. And 62% of households have a Tablet. And 12% of households now have a media center or dongle on your TV (such as Apple TV or Google Chrome Cast).

Of all households in the  Netherlands, 87% digital television In the first half of 2015 there were 2,821 households and 2,441 individuals 13 years or older interviewed.

This shows that 87% of Dutch households have digital television on one or more devices.

This rate digital reception remained stable at the level of the second half of 2015.

53% of households say they have a digital connection via cable. 15% percent of households have an IPTV connection. In 9% of households find glass fiber as a source of digital reception. 7% of households receive TV via DVB-T on one of the units and 4% have a dish.

These percentages are similar to those of the second half of last year. Or decreased the number of households with analogue reception by one or more TV sets from 27% in the second half of 2015 to 24% in the first half of 2016. 37% of households have a hard disk recorder connected to one or more devices.

This percentage is decreased compared to the second half of 2015 (40%). 26% of Dutch households have an integrated hard disk recorder in the set-top box. 10% have a DVD player with integrated hard disk recorder. The percentage of households with a DVD recorder without a hard disk has fallen from 10% in the second half of 2015 to 6%.

This percentage is equal to the second half of 2015. The possession of media players (such as an iPod touch) fell from 23% in the second half of 2015 to 19%.

Internet via computer remains 92% similar to the second half of 2015. The number of households with Internet access is growing considerably more via television from 32% in the second half of 2015 37%. In 12% of households have a media center or dongle on your TV (such as Apple TV or Google Chrome Cast) available.

77% of households have a laptop available, and 47% a desktop computer. Almost two thirds of households (62%) have a tablet. These percentages have remained stable compared to the second half of last year.
