Kittel fed up with German television – Metronieuws.nl

baunatal (AFP / DPA) – cyclist Marcel Kittel find it incomprehensible that the German television stations ARD and ZDF still refuse to do the Tour de France live coverage. The stations took this decision in 2009 after all the doping affairs, but according to the sprinter Giant-Shimano, times have changed. ,, We have as German riders lately done everything to show that we want to be different and have different ideas. It is time that broadcasters review their decision. Cycling has new confidence of the fans and media need,” said Kittel at Eurosport.

Last year the German riders won six stages in the Tour. Kittel was four times successful and also wore the yellow jersey. The other victories came in the name of Andre Greipel and Tony Martin. ‘I really do not know what to do even more. We have now been punished enough and deserve a second chance.”
